Former League of Legends player Luka "Perkz" Perković has deleted his X account after G2 Esports dismissed him from his role as head coach on November 5. The decision came only hours after he published a long statement on his personal beliefs about several divisive topics.
The November 4 post ran to 2,676 words, and Perkz described it as his "first and last honest post" in a decade. In it he discussed his religious beliefs, abortion, politics and his relationship with former G2 CEO Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez. His stance on abortion, which he compared to murder, drew the most backlash. He also denied supporting Andrew and Tristan Tate and said he was not a supporter of Vladimir Putin.
After widespread criticism on social media, G2 announced it was ending its relationship with him. CEO Alban Dechelotte said some of the statements did not align with the organization's values, and apologized to fans who were hurt by them.
After his dismissal, Perkz shared a Bible verse from Luke 6:22. By November 6 his X account had been deleted entirely, removing both the original statement and his later response. His Instagram, Twitch and YouTube accounts remain available.
G2 said it will focus on rebuilding its coaching staff and roster ahead of the next season, with further announcements expected once free agency officially opens.
