ZETA DIVISION has allowed eKo, Absol and Syouta to explore their options ahead of the 2027 season. The trio announced their free agent status in three separate posts on X.

eKo is a well-traveled Korean player who competed in VCL Korea and VCL Japan before joining Gen.G in 2022. After leaving Gen.G ahead of the 2023 Pacific LCQ, he played for TOP Esports in China and NOEZ FOXX in Japan, finishing third at the 2025 Japan Challengers Finals with the latter. He joined ZETA as a stand-in for Red Bull Home Ground 2025 and SOOP League 2025, and his performances against G2 Esports, FNATIC and FULL SENSE earned him a full-time spot for 2026.

Absol signed for ZETA with limited competitive experience, having played for DetoNator Academy and Murash Gaming in VCL Japan. He drew attention with his Duelist play in the Red Bull Home Ground 2025 qualifiers and, like eKo, started as a stand-in before earning a permanent place.

Syouta played for numerous PUG teams before making his name in Japan, with stints at FENNEL and Murash Gaming. He returned to ZETA in December 2025, typically filling the secondary Controller role on Viper or playing Sentinel.

ZETA DIVISION finished near the bottom of VCT Pacific's Kickoff, Stage 1 and Stage 2, missing all three international events in 2026. The announcements follow a similar one from Xdll. ZETA will rebuild after retaining its VCT partner status for 2027. Those remaining at ZETA are SugarZ3ro, head coach ryota-, assistant coach XQQ and analyst gya9.
