Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis of FURIA has won the first Most Valuable Player award of his career at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026. The award is given by HLTV together with 1xBet, and he received it after FURIA won the tournament.
The Latvian delivered a standout performance in the best-of-five grand final against Nemiga, posting a 1.56 rating. That put him well ahead of everyone on the server, especially Danil "molodoy" Golubenko and Daniel "syph0" Ageyev, who had been his closest rivals for the award but faded in the final.
In the playoffs, YEKINDAR topped the charts in the key categories: a 1.37 rating, 91.6 damage per round, 0.82 kills per round and a +3.42% round swing. He shares first place in opening kills per round at 0.18.
Only Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko of BetBoom Team finished ahead of him in overall tournament rating, 1.31 to 1.27. YEKINDAR made up for an up-and-down start in the first three rounds of the group stage.
