FURIA have reached the playoffs of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 after winning the Thunderpick World Championship in Malta. The team finished the group stage with a 3-2 record, and beat Liquid in its final match.

Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis told HLTV that making the playoffs is the bare minimum for FURIA, though the team would like to reach the final or even win the tournament. He added that the competition is tougher and that FURIA came close to beating Spirit, considered the favourite of the event.

According to him, the team is playing better since the Thunderpick victory and the players are more confident. He named a quiet, sloppy and indecisive start to matches as the main problem, particularly on the first map of best-of-three series, and said the team is now working to have everyone enter series prepared from the first round.

YEKINDAR also spoke about the packed schedule. Before official matches the team often plays three or four scrims, since there is a lot to fix, and he said players are trying to take more responsibility for their physical and mental state. He described the group-stage loss to NaVi as an unfortunate game.
