VALORANT players Go "UdoTan" Kyung-won and Xavier "xavi8k" Juan have announced that they are free agents heading into the new season. The announcements came a day after Global Esports founder and CEO Rushindra Sinha said the organization is leaving esports to become an AI studio. It also coincided with news that GE was not chosen as a partnered organization.
In his announcement, UdoTan said he is fluent in Korean with a bit of English, which he likely picked up during two seasons on GE's multinational rosters. He joined Global ahead of the 2025 season after playing for Rare Atom through 2024, a year that ended with a runner-up finish at China Ascension. This year he won his first VCT title at Pacific Stage 2 and was named the stage's MVP.
xavi8k is looking for a spot as an Initiator, Controller or Sentinel, and says he can also work as an IGL and handle mid-round calling. He holds dual United States and Philippines citizenship, is open to any region and says he can relocate. At GE he mainly played Controller while serving as IGL, and it was his first time competing for a team outside the Philippines. Before that he played for NAOS, Sunsparks, Bren Esports and Oasis Gaming.
GE's exit from VALORANT means every member of the roster has been released. Other players are expected to announce their free agency soon.
