MOUZ have secured a place in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 playoffs after beating Spirit. It was their third consecutive win over the team ranked first in the world, and according to Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, that makes it more than a coincidence.
torzsi admitted the opening map, Nuke, was a disaster, saying the team was not mentally there. MOUZ then stepped up, winning Dust2 after leading 7-5 at the half despite Spirit starting 3-0, and taking a tight Mirage in overtime. On Mirage they had to recover from 12-10 down after a 10-10 scoreline. He praised xertioN for his calls and leadership.
He said MOUZ are not afraid of donk, even though the Spirit player had a strong Mirage with several frags. According to torzsi, MOUZ prepare well against Spirit, and sycrone, xertioN and Xyp9x come up with good ideas for countering them.
torzsi also pointed to the team's progress this season: MOUZ have reached three grand finals, winning one and losing two. He said Spirit trash talked them a little before the last map, which made winning Mirage a nice statement. By his account, BLAST Porto is the only time this season Spirit have beaten MOUZ.
