PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 starts on 24 October in Romania. The 16-team tournament has a $1.25 million prize pool and is the last tier-1 LAN before the 2 November cut-off for Singapore Major invites.
Aurora are the reigning champions of the event. Their roster includes Macedonian player Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, alongside XANTARES, woxic, Jimpphat, Wicadia and coach ash. Aurora open the tournament on 24 October at 09:00 against The MongolZ.
Twelve of the 13 highest-ranked teams in the 6 July VRS accepted invites, including Spirit, Vitality and FURIA. Falcons declined, so they have no more chances to earn VRS points before the Major cut-off. The other four places went to regional qualifier winners: Nemiga, Liquid, DENDELE and TYLOO.
The event begins with a best-of-three Swiss stage. Eight teams advance to a single-elimination playoff, and the grand final is a best-of-five. A third-place match is played before it. The first three days each have eight best-of-three series, with no rest days between the Swiss stage and the playoffs.
The winners receive $225,000 as player share and the same amount as club share. Two roster changes are also noted. Álvaro "SunPayus" García makes his debut for FUT, and Justinas "jL" Lekavicius again stands in for Vitality, this time replacing Dan "apEX" Madesclaire.
