MOUZ have reached the grand final of IEM Beijing after a convincing 2-0 win over BETBOOM. The European side took Ancient 13-7 and Mirage 13-8.
BETBOOM took a risk in the veto, allowing the first two maps to be the same ones they lost when the teams met in the group stage. It did not pay off, and MOUZ are yet to lose a map in Beijing.
On Ancient, BETBOOM led 4-0 thanks to fast starts from Boombl4 and S1ren. Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen called a timeout, after which MOUZ disrupted BETBOOM's offense and built a lead by halftime. MOUZ stayed in control in the second half, and xertioN sealed the map with a 1v3 clutch.
Mirage was closer in the first half, as Boombl4 and zorte pulled BETBOOM back into contention and the score was tied at the break. In the second half PR set the tone by taking out BETBOOM's B rush with four USP headshots, and MOUZ never looked back.
xertioN led the way with 40 kills and a 1.67 rating, while PR added 35 kills. MOUZ will face The MongolZ in the grand final.
