Mandatory have announced their full roster for the 2027 season. It consists of five players who all competed at the top level over the past year: Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius as Duelist, Sylvain "Veqaj" Pattyn in a flex role, Emil "runneR" Trajkovski as Sentinel, Kimmie "Kicks" Laasner as Controller and Patryk "starxo" Kopczynski as in-game leader.
Macedonian player runneR played for Joblife in the 2026 season, mainly as a Duelist, but is now set to take on Sentinel duties at Mandatory. He has two seasons in VCT EMEA behind him, one with Team Vitality and one with GIANTX, and has also played for Diamant Esports.
The coaching staff is made up of head coach Kévin "Larsson" Bernard and assistant coach Arnaud "SKAZZ" Trocars. They have worked with several of the players before, and Veqaj reunites with them after their time together at Zerance.
Starxo finished the 2026 season as the in-game leader of Gentle Mates and was previously a world champion with Acend. Veqaj joins after being moved to Fnatic's inactive roster for health reasons, while Kicks split his 2026 season between Team Liquid Academy and Team Liquid.
Mandatory have been in VALORANT since 2022. The French organization has competed in Ascension twice, but most recently fell short of VCT competition, finishing well outside the Play-In spots in EMEA Stage 3 and losing in the semifinals of the EMEA LCQ.
