Team Falcons beat FaZe in a three-map series at IEM Beijing 2026. Captain Finn "karrigan" Andersen said afterwards that the win was far from easy and that a recurring problem is frustrating him.
According to him, Falcons have lately been winning maps picked by their opponents but not the ones they pick themselves. He pointed to Anubis, which has been a good map for the team when others choose it, but did not feel as good this time when Falcons picked it.
karrigan said the team prepared for both Ancient and Mirage, expecting FaZe to choose one of them. In the end, all three maps played were ones Falcons had specifically prepared for. He added that what matters is winning games, however they come, and turning small wins into momentum.
The match was also karrigan's first against former teammate David "frozen" Čerňanský since joining Falcons. He said it feels strange to play against people he spent so long in an organization with, but that he has faced former teammates many times before. He felt FaZe played great and made mistakes only in crucial moments.
