FUT beat Vitality 2-1 and became the first team to secure a place in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 playoffs. The team finished the group stage with a 3-0 record.
Vitality took the opening map, Mirage, 13-9, even though stand-in Justinas "jL" Lekavicius grenaded himself. FUT answered on Dust2 with a 13-9 win, with a crucial 2v4 round won by Aulon "Krabeni" Fazlija and Álvaro "SunPayus" García.
On Anubis, Vitality led 8-4 on the CT side, but FUT came back and took the map 13-10. Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç stood out with two four-kill holds on the B bombsite, while Vitality missed Dan "apEX" Madesclaire.
SunPayus, playing his first event with FUT after being benched by G2 in June, finished the series with a 1.33 rating and has a 1.35 rating for the tournament after seven maps. He has won six clutches in the group stage, and he also praised Krabeni's mid-round calling.
The result also affects the PGL Major Singapore invite situation: both FUT and Astralis could have Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov on their invited rosters. Under Major rules only the higher-ranked team may attend, which is likely to be FUT. To avoid that, FUT must play five games with SunPayus, which is only possible if they win their quarter-final.
