FURIA eliminated BETBOOM in the quarter-finals of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, securing a second consecutive top-four finish. FURIA won the Thunderpick World Championship at their previous event.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo said he likes the way Boombl4 thinks about the game. He said what BETBOOM showed on Dust2 was nothing like their recent matches and brought something new. FURIA still managed to win key CT rounds to close the map, and FalleN singled out a 1v2 play by Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis.
FalleN feels BETBOOM have been a little unlucky in the matchup, as they had many chances in most of their games. He added that FURIA have beaten them the last four times, but that it cannot be called a dead beat. He also explained that FURIA did not expect Cache and had not prepared it much, so they played more freely on the T side.
As reasons for the improved form, FalleN cited a changed schedule with practice on game days, clearer communication and better shared responsibilities.
FURIA's next opponent is MOUZ. FalleN called them one of the best teams in the world and sees the match as a toss-up, saying it will come down to who plays better on the day.
