Eternal Fire has signed former FUT Esports players Volkan "sociablEE" Yonal and Efe "s0pp" Tur. The organization had earlier said it would remain in VALORANT despite missing out on a partnership spot.
For sociablEE, the move adds another chapter to a well-travelled career: he is now set to have played for all four of the biggest Turkish VALORANT teams, after FUT, BBL Esports and Fire Flux Esports. For s0pp it is a return of sorts. He rose through ULF Esports and stayed with the team through its first VCT event, before leaving shortly before Riot removed the team from VCT EMEA and replaced it with Eternal Fire. He now reunites with former ULF teammates echo and Favian, as well as head coach afr0nfire.
Both players joined FUT ahead of EMEA Stage 1 and achieved back-to-back third-place finishes in regional play. That was enough to qualify the Turkish squad for Masters London and Champions Shanghai on points. The London appearance ended a 667-day absence from the international stage.
Eternal Fire is already invited to the EMEA Kickoff, bypassing both phases of the qualifier. Since the end of its season, the team has parted ways with nekky and audaz, while Spear has been moved to the inactive roster.
The Eternal Fire roster is now echo, Favian, sociablEE and s0pp, with afr0nfire as head coach and casteLL0 as assistant coach.
