BBL and Betclic reach PGL Bucharest 2027, where kyxsan's Aurora also play

BBL and Betclic claimed the final two spots at PGL Bucharest 2027 through the European closed qualifier. Aurora, whose roster includes Macedonian player kyxsan, are also in the field.

The team list for PGL Bucharest 2027 is now complete after the European closed qualifier wrapped up. BBL and Betclic came through the eight-team event to take the last two places, joining a strong field in Bucharest.

The tournament runs from January 17 to 24 and features every team from the current top 10, with a $1,000,000 prize pool at stake. The full list of 16 teams includes Aurora, whose roster features Macedonian player Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski.

BBL went through the upper bracket, beating EYEBALLERS 2-0, ex-RUSTEC 2-1 and Betclic 2-1. The result comes only days after the Danish team confirmed the signing of Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen. It is BBL's first notable event since the organization took on the squad at the end of August, after Tricked went under.

Betclic beat Eternal Fire 2-1 and Nemesis 2-0, then lost the upper final to BBL. They bounced back by defeating Nemesis 2-0 again to secure their spot. Betclic had not played at a notable event since qualifying for PGL Bucharest 2025.

GamerLegion missed out. They lost 2-0 to ex-RUSTEC in their opening match and then 2-1 to EYEBALLERS, extending a poor run that includes failing to qualify for 1win Private Club S2.
