Aurora beat G2 2-0 at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026. Macedonian player Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski played a key part in the win, hitting an ace in overtime on Inferno.
On Cache, Aurora lost both pistol rounds but still won 13-11. Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo stood out with two strong B-site holds, and Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş won eight opening duels.
On Inferno, long a G2 favorite, Aurora trailed 12-9. Özgür "woxic" Eker then took all five kills in a 2v5 to send the map to overtime. There kyxsan added another ace, despite being blind for half of the kills, and Aurora closed it out 16-14.
It is an important win for Aurora after their day-one loss to The MongolZ, and as things stand they are set for a Stage 3 invite to the Major. Jimpphat finished with a 1.42 rating, while kyxsan ended on 0.94.
G2 are now 0-2 and face a second group stage exit in a row. Their only win since losing the FPG 3 final in September came against ShindeN, a run of six losses in seven matches. New AWPer Artem "r1nkle" Moroz ended the series with just 53 ADR and a 0.86 rating.
