1win are the champions of Moscow Cyber Games and have earned an invitation to Stage 2 of PGL Major Singapore. They beat HOTU 2-0 in the final, winning Anubis 13-9 and Dust2 13-11.
The stakes were even higher for HOTU, who would have guaranteed a Major invite with a win. On Dust2, HOTU came back from 4-8 down to 11-11 against 1win, currently ranked 14th in the world, but then fell to a B execute in round 23.
The top performers in the final were ArtFr0st of 1win with a 1.31 rating and mizu of HOTU with 1.28.
After finishing second, HOTU are third favorites on the HLTV simulator for the final European invitation. Attention now turns to 100 Thieves in Argentina, who can take the slot if they win FiRe Last Chance. Fnatic are also still in the running; they are 18th in Europe but need 100 Thieves to fail and the opponent network recalculation to go their way.
HOTU beat Wildcard earlier this year, so they will be rooting for the North Americans in Argentina, as a win for them would make HOTU's result more valuable. If BESTIA or BARCA win, Fnatic are the likeliest invitee.
